About Rishon LeZion
Only 10 miles south of Tel Aviv you will discover a vibrant and ever-growing community - the city of Rishon LeZion, lying on the beautiful shoreline of the Mediterranean Sea. From its early days as the first settlement established by the new immigrants of the First Aliyah back in the late 1800s until our time, the city has rapidly grown to be the fourth largest city in Israel and a metropolitan center of the area.
Rishon LeZion offers an urban lifestyle with plenty of shopping centers, restaurants and bars, parks and of course the beach, while still maintaining a strong sense of community with its special mix of different populations – sabras (native Israelis), new immigrants from Ethiopia and the Former Soviet Union and more.
Masa Israel Teaching Fellows with Israel Experience participants in Rishon LeZion will enjoy living in the center of town, in apartment buildings located no more than a short walking distance from one another, which are close to the central streets of the city offering great restaurants, cafes, and shops, as well as convenient public transportation to Tel Aviv.
Where you'll live

About Israel Experience
Masa Israel Teaching Fellows in Rishon LeZion is organized by Israel Experience. Israel Experience is a subsidiary and the educational arm of the Jewish Agency for Israel. We are committed to providing you with innovative and high-quality programs, and we work hard to make sure our programs are creative, meaningful, and memorable. It is important to us that you get the most out of your teaching program in Israel, at Israel Experience.
Israel Experience gives participants the opportunity to immerse themselves into Israeli society and culture, providing structured independence throughout their stay. Israel Experience makes the effort to train its staff to help provide safety and security, and the relevant framework in and out of the workplace and in the city. But we also understand the participants need for freedom and independence. IE prides itself on finding the correct balance between structure and independence - providing the safety net to all participants but at the same time giving them the ability to explore, adventure, learn from their mistakes, and have a great Israel Experience.
