Meet Hayley Sacks!
Hayley is a Masa Israel Teaching Fellow at Ras Ali in Haifa! She is originally from London, England and went to Keele University in the Midlands. Hayley studied criminology and sociology, receiving her degree in 2017. After graduation, Hayley was a nursery school teacher and moved on to be a Go Ape instructor at a high ropes course. She decided to come to Israel because she loves being with kids and applied to Masa Israel Teaching Fellows.
Her favorite thing about Haifa is transportation on Shabbat making it easier to get to the beach during her free time. Her favorite part about Israel is the communities that form so easily here. “Just by living in Israel, I am automatically part of this community”. She is looking forward to volunteering and wants to learn Hebrew as much as she can throughout her program with Israel Experience. Over the holidays, Hayley went overseas to visit Poland with another Haifa teaching fellow!
“The best memory so far has to be when we all got invited to Sima’s house for Friday night dinner – we were all together celebrating the first Friday night in Haifa. It was amazing.”
