Before coming to Israel, I decided to enter with an open mind and to have no expectations in order to fully immerse myself in Israeli culture and feel like a local. If you come in with no expectations, you accept new discoveries and challenges as cultural differences instead of dislikes or losses from American Society. If I was to describe the first couple of months of the program, I would say hectic, chaotic and challenging. But, after being here for 6 months, I would characterize my whole experience as life-changing, thrilling and my new normal.
